APO Summicron SL 35 and 90 "the two brothers"

These two "brothers" are just perfect!

With the new APO Summicron SL Leica has reached new heights of perfection, these lenses could always be used at f2 and you don't need to close them. At maximum opening, looking at the edges of the frame at 100%, there is no visible drop in definition, it's amazing!

The reviews that you find on the site, are not technical (there are many on the web made by real experts) but simple considerations derived from my use of lenses, so, in addition to the high image quality, the other thing that immediately struck me, was the speed of the autofocus: lightning! Another planet compared to the 50 Lux SL.

During my last trip I used the 35 and 90 mm (my favorite lenses for reportage), setting the SL (I did not yet have the SL2) on AF-C and both lenses did not miss a shot!

The colors are fantastic and extremely real. In the digital world, the "color chapter", no longer makes much sense, with the various processing software, we can change the colors to our liking, but with Leica I NEVER change the colors even when I shoot in JPG, they are already perfect!

Looking at the photos taken with these two lenses seems to observe images of MF system, I used the Fuji GFX 50s and the X1D II and I know what I'm talking about.

CONCLUSION

These two lenses, as well as the APO Summicron SL 75 mm that I have tried, are fantastic, achieve optical perfection and have a very fast and reliable autofocus. In my opinion, they cannot be missing from a Leica SL or SL2 owner.
